You might have noticed that I love random holidays. A quick google search will pull up so many fun and little-celebrated special days like Pig day (which we missed this year) or Dr. Seuss’ birthday. There is always something that you can find to make a kid’s day special if you look for it.
So yesterday was pi day. I was planning to skip this one, as all of my kids are MILES too young to have any understanding of this geeky holiday. But when Munkey Joe dropped his daughters off, he came bearing a plethora of Tastykake pies! So pi(e) day was on, and a fabulous time was had by all!
Little A
Baby J
Robee
Baby C
Teagle
During our pie-eating contest, I made all the poor children listen to the Pi song on repeat. They didn’t mind, and I can only hope that one day when they’re older memories of this time will ignite a spark somewhere in their minds and they will all become super-mathematical-geniuses!

I’m all for any excuse to eat such pies. The girls appear to have loved every second of it, and who can blame them?

This is NOT to be confused with “Pi Apporximation Day” which is in the summer (July 22nd or 22/7 in DDMM format)
