“It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backward.”
– The White Queen
(as written by Lewis Carroll)
Please indulge my excessive documentation, but there are just a few more random sillies that I’d like to get down before they’re gone for good.
1. Hats are fun. . .
Daddy’s hats are the best. . .
Especially the ones Daddy makes!
And my awesome cupcake hat rocks my socks. Thanks again to Apok and fam!
2. The worlds tiniest birthday cake. . .
Cuz’ if there’s ONE thing Puff knows about birthdays, its that they involve cake. . .so we had to bring one. Even if it was nearly the size of a cupcake. . .
3. DO NOT nap while camping. The moment your back is turned, a My Little Pony *could* end up in the fire pit. . .despite the supervision of 2 other adults.
*** Starsong has requested that her image not be shown. She survived, but her hair will never be the same. . .
*** It should also be noted that the whole incident was, in fact, an accident. T loves her ponies – especially good old Starsong – and would never toss her in the flames intentionally.
4. Owls suck. Between the hours of 2:30 – 4:00 am, particularly. Puff disagrees.
no wonder I call her my little owl. . .
OWL: #1 – HOOOT HOOOT *high pitched and from a distance*
T: Mom! Did you hear that! It was an owl! It was a MOMMY owl!!!
M: Yes, dear. It was an owl, how neat! Lets quietly listen some more. . .
OWL: #2 – “HOOOT HOOOT” *much deeper in pitch, and very close*
T: Mommy! It was the DADDY owl! DAD! Did you hear the daddy owl, too?!
Loved the camping photos… that brought back memories. Sunrises , cheeks in firelight, sandy sleeping bags. Oh , and diarrhea diapers that one time when baby made three and our trips started to shift to cabins, and cottages.
Thanks for stopping by my place, and for having such a unique space to visit.
I absolutely love the hat pictures!! The underwear hat rocks! My brothers used to pull a pair down over their face, look through the leg holes and pretend they were spiderman. Yep…weird. Stupid owls…how exciting that she recognized the different pitches and associated them with male vs female, which they may have been. How annoying that it lasted for way tooooo long!
