“There are six ducks out there, and they all want SunChips!’

*DISCLAIMER* This falls under the category of waaay too much information,
so if you're squeamish, skip it.

Early yesterday, the Puff and I were doing the morning thing when we heard daddy’s alarm clock ringing. Some time passed, and as we had seen no signs of him – we went to investigate. By way of greeting, Dad let loose one of his infamous first-thing-in-the-morning flatulations…

D: BBBBRRRRRAAAAAAPPPPPP!

T: *wide eyes* WHAT was THAT???!!!

M: It was a duck

T: *wider eyes* A DUCK! Where is a duck?!

M: Under the bed, it would seem. . .

D: *chuckles*

*T gets down on hands-and-knees and looks under the bed*

T: I can’t see him!

T: Duuuuuck! Where are yooooou??!

T: Mom! I need a flashlight! I need to find the duck!

T: Listen! Do you hear him again? Lets find the duck. . .

T: Moooom!!! Could you help me find him?

Ha ha ha!!! Too much Fun!! Aadya knows all about farting or burping and she would ask her dad to say Sorry or Excuse me when he does that!!!!

Ha!! This exact same scenario has happened (okay, frequently happens) at our house! 🙂

And on a related note, what’s with guys and their disgusting morning farts? It’s like they save it all up during the night. Gross.

Ack! Watch out for those ducks! lol My girls know all about those things and will in fact tell me, “Mom! I farted, did you hear that fart?” Of course, me, being the mother am not allowed to participate in the giggling that is always accompanied by such activities and am, instead, required to remain straight faced and/or frowning and say, “I didn’t hear an excuse me.” At which point, said giggling child stops giggling, looks ashamed and says, “excuse me.”

Thanks! Yup – I took it. He was a pretty duck. . .

T knows all about these things, too – AND saying ‘excuse me.’ I guess she was just caught off-guard that morning. . .

I must say that it DOES crack me up to know that we aren’t the only family who has experienced the ‘wild bird’ phenomenon!!! *giggle*
